It's time to start auditions for next season's Show Band!!!!   

Auditions will be held on the following date and time:

The auditions will be conducted in three different parts.

First, the students will need to learn "Get Back" by The Beatles on whatever instrument they are auditioning with. Please note that they have to learn this entirely on their own. Instructors are not allowed to help in any way.

Vocalists should memorize the lyrics and be able to sing either the main melody OR the backup harmony parts on pitch.
 
Guitarists should learn ALL guitar parts (lead guitar and rhythm) note for note.
 
Bassists should learn the bass line note for note.
 
Pianists should learn ALL parts note for note.
 
Drummers should be able to play the beat and fills verbatim.
 
I will randomly select people to form the bands that will audition, so learning all your parts for your specific instrument is crucial!
 
Remember that stage presence and maturity (not noodling, etc...) is also important and could be a factor!
 

Consists of an individual performance. You have two minutes to entertain us! This is open ended so the more creative the better!

Requires the student to answer a couple of music theory questions. These will vary depending on what instrument you're auditioning.
 
Vocalists should be able to harmonize Major thirds and Perfect Fifths under any Tonic played on the piano.
 
Guitars, bassists, and keys should be able to play and describe all the intervals up to an octave.
                    
Drummers should be able to answer any question related to time.
